ASTROLOGY BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS

Updated: Aug 19, 2022

Astrology Book Recommendations

Here are some astrology books I have been reading and applying with my astrology practice (majority are Kabbalistic Astrology books, of course - but that list is for a different post). Most of these may not be suitable for beginners but if you really want to be serious with your astrology practice or even have a deeper love and appreciation of astrology, I guarantee you these are worth reading.

BEGINNER LEVEL:

How To Read Your Astrological Chart by Donna Cunningham

Unlike other astrology chart reading books that will leave you even more confused and disoriented, Donna Cunningham breaks down astrology for the newbies who want to learn how to read their charts in the simplest way possible without drowning you with a sea of information.

The Stars Within You: A Modern Guide to Astrology by Juliana McCarthy

Arcane Senses and I have been obsessing over this book's smell - another deal breaker for us nerds. The Stars Within You by Juliana McCarthy is an easy read that is packed with ‘proper’ information about each sign, the planets and the works. If you are curious about astrology, also love mythology and don’t know where to start, I highly recommend this book.

You Were Born For This by Chani Nicholas

This is another good astrology starter book as it covers the basics + explains the placements in both practical and spiritual way. I recommend this book to beginners because Chani wrote it in a language that is easy to decipher without getting one lost in all the massive information one needs to absorb in learning astrology.

Jung On Astrology by C.G. Jung

If you are a fan of Carl Jung, then I don't need to explain why you need to read this book.

Jung's Studies in Astrology : Prophecy, Magic, and the Qualities of Time by Liz Greene

If you are a fan of Carl Jung, then I don't need to explain why you need to read this book also. By the way, Liz Greene is a Jungian analyst and professional astrologer who received her Diploma in Analytical Psychology from the Association of Jungian Analysts in London in 1980 - this is why most of her books are good reads.

Moon Signs: The Key to Your Inner Life by Donna Cunningham

This book unravels lunar influences and how it affects our emotions, intuition, passions. If you're one those who 'hexed the moon', this book may provide reasons and explanations why you should not have done that in the first place. Geez.
