Growing up and living in a religious country with conservative beliefs, why get hooked with Tarot or Tarot Reading? Well, aside from getting 'the calling', I mentioned on my previous post that there are lot of misconceptions about Tarot Reading one of which is that Tarot is scary and you shouldn't play with the unknown. Allow me to enlighten you all a bit and hopefully break your conservative walls. 1. TAROT IS AN ART. The traditional deck may cause agitation because of how each card was drawn but over the years there are a lot of independent individuals who have revolutionized Tarot art. Take my Victorian Fairy Tarot deck as an example (see picture above). The deck itself invites positivity and the imagery is stunningly beautiful that how could you possibly be afraid of it? As I have been telling my querents, there is nothing to fear with the Tarot or getting a reading. Carrying these decks is like having a pocket-size painting gallery which brought out my passion for collecting beautiful and out of this world Tarot deck arts.
2. TAROT IS A TOOL FOR SELF-REFLECTION AND SELF-CARE.
Most of the time understanding one's self is difficult - especially if you're having self-esteem issues, inner crisis and in denials. The Tarot helps you dig into your self-awareness and answers all of your doubts. It is a good meditation tool as it helps you find your balance and center.
3. TAROT CAN CHANGE YOU INTO A BETTER PERSON.
To add emphasis in number 2, Tarot's primary role is to act as your guide. Think of it as a life coach. By this, it widens your perspective, gives you endless insights, opens your mind and heart to become more understanding, compassionate and kind to yourself and to others.
