REVIEW: HILDA TAROT BURLAP EDITION
Updated: Oct 1, 2020
Unboxing, First Impressions & Review
The Hilda Tarot Burlap Edition is one wholesome deck! I really liked the pin-up theme here. The images are all funny!
WHAT I LIKE: 1. THE ARTWORK & CARD STOCK. Artwork is by Duane Bryers, 'creator of an unconventional plump-bodied pinup girl, Hilda, who appeared in calendars from the mid-1950s to 1980s'. This deck was put together by Esther. Card stock has a linen finish and has a standard size.
Hilda Tarot Deck Burlap Edition has freebie crystals! I ordered the Hilda Tarot Clutch from Jenna, the magickal @moonlit_faye. You can get the Hilda Tarot Clutch here
Unfortunately, The Chariot card was not cut properly.
2. GUIDEBOOK Does not come with any guidebook. 3. AVAILABILITY Unfortunately this deck is already out of print. 4. SHIPPING Had in a month.
5. THE INTERVIEW
INTRODUCE YOURSELF: King of Wands
King of Wands is a card of inspiration and true to its word I have been so inspired using this deck. For some reason, I am always excited whenever I see and use this deck. Hilda is so playful but also insightful.
WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS? The Empress
It's not a surprise that the Hilda Tarot deck's strength lies in The Empress. Given that each card has Hilda in it including the 'male cards'.
WHAT ARE YOUR LIMITATIONS? Ace of Pentacles
The Hilda Tarot deck is perhaps not the best deck to use when it comes to financial matters.
WHAT CAN I LEARN FROM YOU? King of Pentacles
The Hilda Tarot Deck teaches confidence and the value of self-worth.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONNECT WITH YOU? The Moon
This is quite self-explanatory given that the Moon is filled with feminine energy.
OUTCOME OF OUR RELATIONSHIP: Three of Swords
I can see that I might have a hard time connecting with this deck and I need to do a lot of in-depth work with it. I certainly love the fact that this is such a feminine deck especially since I don't really see myself as 'feminine enough. This will guide me to et in touch with my feminine side.
WHAT I HATE:
Not really 'hate' but I do understand that there are booboos for first prints.
One of the things I love about this deck is the uncanny accurate representation of my body right now and how Hilda seems to be having fun with it. With the current skinny trend that we have, women have been having trouble loving their own uniqueness thanks to the constant criticising and shaming we experience everywhere. This deck is just filled with estrogen and feminine energy that helps us get in touch with our Divine Feminine.
That concludes my review of the Hilda Tarot.
