REVIEW: SCRYING INK LENORMAND
Updated: Sep 28, 2020
Unboxing, First Impressions & Review
I went to a phase where I want to learn everything about cartomancy and I stumbled upon the Lenormand. I saw Siolo Thompsons' work and was fascinated about her artwork.
WHAT I LIKE: 1. THE ARTWORK. I do know how to sketch a bit that's why when I saw Siolo's artwork being minimalistic with a dash of watercolor, the deck resonated with me right away.
2. CARD STOCK
The cards are HUGE! Size is 5.75 x 3.5 inches. It looks very much like flash cards. I am quite surprised as usually Lenormand decks are tiny because when you need to use the Grand Tableau spread you will be using the entire deck which takes up all the space of your table. This deck may use up your whole floor.
Here's a cute personalised note.
3. AVAILABILITY I ordered the deck here. 4. SHIPPING Took almost a month or two before I was able to get it. 5. THE INTERVIEW.
INTRODUCE YOURSELF: Tree
When the Tree card appears in a Lenormand reading, it is always about the querent's health. In this case, it speaks of the karmic connection between two individuals. I sense that this deck resonates more with bringing two souls together.
WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS? Rider
The Rider card signifies of what is about to come or happen. This deck (or any Lenormand deck to be exact) can help you anticipate and prepare beforehand.
WHAT ARE YOUR LIMITATIONS? Key
The deck is limited when you are asking or seeking answers that involves a higher spiritual or karmic connections.
WHAT CAN I LEARN FROM YOU? Clouds
The clouds represents a need to be honest and to wake up, to pay attention and to focus.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONNECT WITH YOU? Crown
The Crown card is an extra card that Siolo created for her deck.
OUTCOME OF OUR RELATIONSHIP: Bear
The Bear card is a fighter and the more aggressive I am in looking for the answer, the more the deck will be able to assist me into finding that exact answer.
WHAT I HATE:
Cards are HUGE! It consumes the whole floor to do a Grand Tableau.
I love the extra 4 cards - Crown, Broom and an extra set of Male and Female. The only challenge here is to shuffle the huge cards. UPDATE: This deck was the first to go when I did my deck decluttering.
That concludes my review.
