REVIEW: THE VICTORIAN FAIRY TAROT
Updated: Oct 1
Unboxing, First Impressions & Review
I mentioned on my previous post that my first tarot deck is this Victorian Fairy Tarot and today I shall be reviewing this gorgeous deck for you. But first! Here's an unboxing video!
Now that you've seen what's in the box and the shuffle test, here are my first impressions.
WHAT I LIKE: 1. THE ARTWORK The deck is well made with borderless art, combined with stunningly beautiful fairies in a Victorian era theme. I also love the fact that being my first tarot deck, it is easy to connect with the fairies. It also eliminated the 'scare factor' with my querents when they saw my deck due to how it was drawn.
2. THE GUIDEBOOK
It comes with a 254 page illustrated guide book. I like how Lunaea has organised each interpretation with a very well thought of story, detailed description and summary guide words for each card. I like how her approach makes it easier for beginners to learn how to use the deck.
I always love personal messages like this.
3. CARD STOCK
Good card stock but shuffling is not as smooth as I want it to be. Nonetheless, it makes a sturdy deck because the paper is thick.
Surprisingly, I bought this from a local bookstore.
5. THE BONUS!
6. THE INTERVIEW
INTRODUCE YOURSELF: The Stars
The Stars card represent a light in the darkness, which can be felt as hope in a desperate time. Based from experience, the Victorian Fairy Deck truly serves as a messenger and embodiment of hope for my querents. The entire deck boosts with positive energy and always reminds me and my querents that there will always be light in the dark.
WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS? Six Of Autumn
As stated on the 1st card, Six Of Autumn speaks of need and the deck shows help graciously offered and doesn't shy away from helping others. It is a healing deck.
WHAT ARE YOUR LIMITATIONS? The Fairy Bride
Love and anything to do with relationships questions or inquiries are the deck's drawbacks.
WHAT CAN I LEARN FROM YOU? Fortitude
Strength. Makes sense since it's a healing deck - see card 1.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONNECT WITH YOU? Five Of Summer
Learning this new 'skill' are both fun and challenging. The Five Of Summer reminds me that despite the challenges I encountered with this deck (sleepless nights, self doubts, beginner's fear, etc) and sometimes feeling that it is such a waste of effort, the deck still strives to connect with me by helping me out resulting to surprisingly accurate readings.
OUTCOME OF OUR RELATIONSHIP: Nine Of Winter
My Victorian Fairy deck appears to worry that because I have a tendency to get distracted easily, I might not get serious with this calling.
WHAT I HATE:
I have been in love with anything that has to do with a Victorian era theme so this deck turned out to be winner to me. It's not your traditional 'scary / dark' deck which is why it has 'friendly' personality especially with my querents.
That concludes my review.
