Review: Vivid Journey Tarot

If you're looking for a 'friendly' starter deck - this is it!

WHAT I LIKE: 1. THE ARTWORK. The artwork is so vibrant, bright and a whimsical delight! It is a good family-friendly deck.

As you can see, the 'scary' cards are not at all scary here.

2. CARD STOCK

The card stock is rather thin and shuffles easily. But you do want to take it easy if you're a hard shuffler like me. And that's why I'm not a fan of the card stock quality of Llewellyn.

That is actually a magnetic flip box.

3. GUIDEBOOK

Though Llewellyn still needs to improve the size of the guidebook, the book now has coloured pages.

4. AVAILABILITY

You can buy the deck at Amazon or at Fullybooked.

5. SHIPPING

Will take you almost a month to get it plus a local tax of ₱112.00.

6. THE INTERVIEW

INTRODUCE YOURSELF: Death

This was the first time that a deck introduced itself to me as that of the Death card. It represents an ending of a major phase of your life - one in which you must close the door to open another.

WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS? Queen of Wands

As a true whimsical deck, it's strength lies in its fiery energy where inspiration and exploration is abundant. It emits a vibrant warmth and exuberance thanks to it being a Queen of Wands

WHAT ARE YOUR LIMITATIONS? Page of Cups

As a Page of Cups, it is quite limited in expressing itself emotionally.

WHAT CAN I LEARN FROM YOU? Seven of Pentacles

Determination, perseverance, hard work and being able to have a long term view on where I can best invest.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONNECT WITH YOU? Seven of Wands

The best way to connect with the Vivid Tarot is to rise up to any challenge and hold the fort while doing it.

OUTCOME OF OUR RELATIONSHIP: Eight of Swords

The Eight of Swords is an indication that I may need to decide on something important - in this case whether the deck works with me or not. Unlike my other decks, this one was bought on impulse and not because it 'called' to me.

WHAT I HATE:

Llewellyn's large box and guidebook. It would be great if they included a tarot bag with it.

SCORE: ★★★★★

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Honestly, this was not part of my deck list but I saw this at FullyBooked almost the same time as it was released - which surprised me. Hence, my impulsive buying. Like I said, this is a family friendly deck and can also be used by kids and for kids. If you're a beginner, this is another great starter deck for you. UPDATE: Sold this when I did my deck decluttering.

That concludes my review of Vivid Journey Tarot.
