REVIEW: GODDESSES AND SIRENS ORACLE

December 16, 2016

I have been fascinated with mythology ever since I could remember and today I shall be reviewing this breathtaking deck for you. But first! Here's an unboxing video!

Now that you've seen what's in the box and the shuffle test, here are my first impressions.

WHAT I LIKE:

1. THE ARTWORK.

Words fail me as I try to describe Jimmy Manton's illustrations on every card. He was able to capture the compassion, fierceness and vigor of the goddesses. However, I feel that the printer did not bring justice to his works as far as the sharpness is concerned? To me, it seemed like the ink bled? You have to see for yourselves to know what I meant.

2. CARD STOCK

The cards are rather large for my hands which made it difficult for me to shuffle. It comes with a guidebook also written by Stacey Demarco and a box - although that too was big for the cards causing them to rattle around in it.

3. AVAILABILITY

You may purchase your Goddesses And Sirens Oracle deck here.

4. SHIPPING

Took about 3 working weeks before I was able to received them (bought both the Gods and Titans and the Goddesses and Sirens Oracle Deck) plus a local tax of ₱112.00.

5. THE INTERVIEW.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF: Isis - Protection

The Goddesses And Sirens Oracle Deck is a healing, protecting and mothering deck. Isis, being loyal to her true love Osiris reminds us that her wings will spread on those who is need of her protection.

WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS? Sirens - Temptations

The Sirens's calling can be a warning indicating that something is too good to be true or a positive call to follow your heart (which may lead to growth and joy). I find this deck extremely persuasive and alluring thus being tempted to connect with it all the more.

WHAT ARE YOUR LIMITATIONS? Lakshmi - Prosperity

While the Gods and Titans Oracle Deck's limitation is Poseidon - Flow (and fertility, creativity and prosperity), the Goddesses And Sirens Oracle Deck, its counterpart's limitation is Lakshmi, goddesses of prosperity as well. Those wishing to invoke Lakshmi for commercial reasons will be disappointed.

WHAT CAN I LEARN FROM YOU? Morgan Le Fae - Magic

In Avalon, Morgan Le Fae is a mighty sorceress matching Merlin's skill in magic. Morgan Le Fae serves as a reminder that magic is real and powerful and that there is magic in everything.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONNECT WITH YOU? Aphrodite - Self Love

We all know Aphrodite, goddess of beauty, whilst her role is to be called upon to assist in romantic love, her primary lesson is one of self love. Love thyself.

OUTCOME OF OUR RELATIONSHIP: Hera - Commitment

Greek goddess Hera rules over marriage, loyalty and commitment. She was considered the 'Great Goddess' ruling over all the rest of the feminine divine.

WHAT I HATE:

Hmm... upgrade to a better printer perhaps?

SCORE: ★★★

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I love mythology made into oracles! This is such a learning deck - not only that you learn more about the deity and the myths but you learn to work with magic hidden within.

That concludes my review. How was your Goddesses And Sirens Oracle deck?
